Alex and Dean take a road trip to Eugene Oregon. The weekend was spent painting, cleaning and doing legal paperwork. Oh just how fun could that have been? Thanksgiving turkey was eaten off of paper plates and with plastic forks and knives. Hey, at least the temperature got above freezing during the day. Alex and Dean also talk about the sexiest men alive. The show was recorded as they traveled down I-5 in Northern California.

Alex and I want to wish all of our American listeners a happy Thanksgiving. To all our other listeners, “hi” and we hope you are having a wonderful week!
Alex and I made the 10 hour drive to Eugene, Oregon this week to work on my father’s house. We spent today, Thanksgiving, painting and replacing lighting fixtures. We had our Thanksgiving dinner (turkey take-out from Marie Callenders) at the family dinner table where I have had many family dinners in the past; this will be the last. I feel that my father is going to walk into the house at any moment.
It’s 33 degrees outside so we are staying inside and bundled up. Tomorrow night we plan on venturing out the the only “gay” friendly bar in town.

Devastation in California! This week we start things off quite shaky with a typical California earthquake. Alex discusses how his family was affected by the Southern California fires and how his nephew chose to save his shoes when forced to evacuate. How gay is that? Alex outs himself at the gym and dresses as Peter Pansy for Halloween.
We also discuss Queer as Folk and whether or not it is a true depiction of gay life. We also provide updates on Halloween in the Castro and ENDA. In news and politics we talk about the Westboro Baptist Church, Barack Obama’s homophobic gospel tour, another homo-hater that gets caught having gay sex. In some fun entertainment news we discuss a great movie, The History Boys as well as Ugly Betty, and Desperate Housewives.

Two weeks ago, Dean’s father passed away. Death is inevitable, but it is an event that presents us with great despair and hardship. Alex and Dean talk about the passing of Dean’s father and the struggles that lay ahead in dealing with the death of a parent. They read many wonderful emails from their listeners and friends.

I highly recommend the film "Shelter". It is one of the best gay films that Alex and I have seen to date! It is a beautiful love story that ends the way all love stories should. It had me crying tears of joy. Dean
