The Show is dark this week

Hi All,
My father passed away last Tuesday. On Thursday morning I headed up north to Oregon where he lived to help take care of the family matters. Its Sunday night and I have just returned home. There is just an overwhelming number of things to still take care of. Alex and I will not be recording a show this week. Hopefully, we will be back next weekend!

Dear Dean,
My heartfelt condolences at the loss of your father. I lost my father almost 10 years ago, and contrary to the stereotype I was much closer to him than I was my mother, so his death was particularly tough on me. I still miss the old man, but I also celebrate that we got to spend so much time together. I will keep you and Alex and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Dean, I’m very sorry to hear about your father and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my mom almost 2 years ago, my father passed away in 1985, and it a tough process, especially with all the matters to take care of.

Aww, Dean. I’m so sorry. Even though I have never experienced the loss of a parent, I lost a dear grandfather of mine 5 years ago. I loved him dearly, as I know you loved your father dearly. I express my condolences to you and your family, and I’m sure your next episode will kick ass as ever.
