Hi, this is Alex and Dean - Gay Men Talking, coming to you from San Francisco!

It’s been a slow week, but we still manage to find plenty to talk about. BBQ’s, shower heads, work deadlines and bad Chinese cookie fortunes seem to be the center of conversation. Dean talks about his visit to the S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien to boost his manhood until Alex quickly moves the conversation onto brownie tarts!

We dedicate a song to a listener’s wedding aniversary and a song to a wonderful listener in Australia. Dean’s up to his old liberal bashing gag when he proves via the Alex and Dean survey that not all gay men are card carrying members of the gay mafia.

We also talk about the loss this weekend of a well respected journalist and talk show host, Pete Wilson. We then move on to political debates of the YouTube catagory and then Chuck and Larry and the Bionic Women. Wow, we are tired after all that!

This week we spend a quiet weekend at homeâalmost. With the fire alarm testing and the crying kids at the bagel shop we almost have a quiet weekend.

On this weekâs show we discuss an interview we did for the Ramble Redhead podcast and how a bottle of wine helped prepare us for that. We also discuss our Queer Eye for the Straight Guy makeover that we will have to perform for Martin and Steele (From the Ville) before we take them out in West Hollywood. You wonât believe what they want to wear.

Kicked out, Gay teenager finds role

It’s time to just sit down and have a beer. Today was fire alarm system testing day for our building in the condo complex. This is something that we have to put up with each year. We had to be home today between 9am and 2pm for the alarm testing.

I also needed to get the oil changed in my car, so I got up about 8am and drove down to the shop that I have used for years. I haven’t had my oil changed for about a year; bad, bad, bad! The shop took my car in right away, so I called Alex and told him he didn’t need to come pick me up. The oil looked like sludge as it drained from the oil pan. Well, maybe I’m just trying to force myself, in a very distructive way, to buy a new car.

The fire alarms started going on and off around 11am and the guy came to our door about 11:30am. Good, all checked out and done and over with for another year. And no, the alarm guys were not cute. We spent some time this morning, while waiting for the alarm testing, cleaning the house. More needs to be done.

Alex and I then headed over to our favorite Mexican market and got our usual Saturday lunch burritos. Only one cute Latino boy today. I pointed out to Alex just how nice his bubble butt looked. Then, I quickly changed the subject to the three lesbians that were sitting behind us. Interesting to see lesbians here.

Costco was our next stop. Good thing we had Alex’s car. That way we couldn’t buy too much. Well, didn’t work. The total was over…well it was a lot. We packed all of the goodies in the trunk; packed in accordence with Alex’s special packing in the trunk rules. He says it all makes sense to him so why doesn’t it make sense to me?

Back at home, I poured myself a beer. I’m not going to tell you the brand of the Mexican beer that begins with a "C" because then I would have to put a registered trademark symbol next to the word and I’ll be damned if I’m going to do that for any company including Corona.

Alex is asleep on the coach. If I can wake him up in time, we will record this week’s podcast tonight and you can hear all about our day again!

We are off to see Kathy Griffin on Saturday night at the Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center in San Luis Obispo, Ca. This was a spare of the moment decision, not like us though. But what the heck. We were right next door to her show when we were down in LA two weekends ago. Alex got wind that she was performing in SLO, so we thought it would be fun to part of her "gays".

Its been a little while since we have been on a road trip together and we thought this might be fun. It really isn’t that far of a drive and in Alex’s car, which just turned one year old, it will be a nice ride.

I’m going to sneak the portable recorder into the car so we just might record this weeks show while on the road, that is if Alex doesn’t yell at me to get that damn microphone out of his face.

Well the car is fueled up and washed. Alex has come into the room now three times wearing different outfits for tomorrow night. It is beginning to bug the hell out of me! Breath! Think nice thoughts! Ok. I’m fine. All right, I’ve got to pack my things too. Hopefully you will hear from us Sunday night, if not, you know why.

Summer is here. The Fourth of July is a few days away. We read tons of listener email and give out a little fun and friendly advice. This week we also check in on the progress of FagBug to see if she has started her cross country trip. We find out why ugly people have not been bred out of the population. Maybe that has something to do with Ann Coulter. Her and Elizabeth Edwards exchange a word or two.

What would the world be like without the infamous Isaiah Washington spouting off his mouth again? How long is the gay community going to put up with this? And to think, the NAACP gave this wonderful man an award! I say, vote with your dollars people.
